Tips On How To Set Yourself Up For Success
Id like all of you to sit with this question... What does success mean to you? Maybe getting your dream car or buying that mansion you always dreamed about. Whatever your answer to this question is envision yourself having it. Think about how you will feel once you finally get what you have been working for. We all can get to where we want to go. It is all about the willpower and the action behind it.
I wanted to write about this topic today because I noticed I have been slacking off lately, lack of motivation, and realizing the habits I subdued myself to this week were not setting me up for future success. I know its easy to curl up and watch marathons all day long when we're technically ordered to stay inside while the world seems to be falling apart.
But folks this is the time we need to envision, plan, and manifest our dreams! My boyfriend has been working constantly, blogging religiously, practicing piano, and educating himself in some sales courses. When I watch him inspired by what he learns, it gets me motivated to start moving, pick up a book, and start picking up the pace.
Now without further ado, let me share with you some tips that will help you achieve your goals efficiently and effectively.
Surrounding yourself with like-minded people or share the same goals
We need people in our lives who motivate us whether they even notice it or not. I know sometimes being our biggest fan is a lot less motivating but, find people that you share the same goals, and you'll see how far you can go when you have excellent players on your team.
Finding a mentor
When you're looking to target huge goals, find yourself a mentor, a teacher however you want to call them. When you have someone you can look up who has already gone down the path you want to achieve, surround yourself with them and take everything and anything you can learn from them and apply it to your own life. Now I don't mean copy them to the T, but if they had specific healthy habits or a routine, try them out, and if they are bringing you down the right path keep it going! Remember you don't know it all and allowing people to help you will bring you further.
Reading self-development content or learning a new skill or trade
Reading books, self-help, or motivating content will get you going in the right direction. I just finished the book Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsch, and my was it powerful!! Not only did it motivate me to be more grateful throughout my daily life, but the message really struck a nerve in my subconscious.
I feel a lot more relaxed, allowing things to come and go. I have to give credit to so many other books and, not to mention people that have shaped me, but since reading this book, it's given me a fresher perspective. This is one of the many books that will set you up for success but more on a spiritual and mental level.
Reading all types of material will help you on your journey to riches. Whether it's reading about a new trade, skills, self-development, guide to growing your money, any material that will lead you to where you want to go please read!! Not only will reading increase your IQ but reading targets the subconscious and allows the material to really stick and especially if its successful content, you'll benefit so much.
Setting Weekly Goals
Setting Goals for the week, even if it's just one, to read a chapter a night, save half of your paycheck when you check off that goal you wanted to achieve at the end of the week you will feel accomplished and wanting more!! Last week I wanted to save 1,200$ and I did!! I rewarded myself with some much-needed ice cream and it makes me want to achieve the same goal next week!! When you keep the streak going and crossing off small goals off your list, it will allow you to be confident enough to reach for more. Believe in yourself. Start small and make sure you cross whatever it is off your list before your specific deadline and you'll see and feel the amazement of your hard work!

There are a lot more ways we can set ourselves up for success but these are the ones I've been using and they have worked very effectively. I also have a lot of healthy habits that only make the journey more appreciative, but that's for you to discover what works and what doesn't. Give these tips a try and see! If some do work and others do not, that's okay as long as you're trying to get to where you want to go. And remember this, it doesn't matter how long it takes you! When you take the time, follow the right steps and don't cheat yourself, whatever it is you want to achieve will be even more amazing then when you first thought of that goal. You will appreciate yourself and the journey more by being real and true to yourself. It won't be easy but it isn't impossible!
