4 Tips To Learn How To Let Go Of Control
I hope some of you have read my blog posts about Letting Go Of Control and the importance of it. I noticed I didn't give you any guidelines on how to sit back and trust the universe, so let me help you out! You could say this is part 2.
As per my post, letting go of control is very difficult! Feeling the need to be in control is also associated with not feeling in control, maybe over your life, your finances, whatever it is. It's in our nature to feel in control over our lives but that's not how the universe sets it up to be!
I'm sure there are so many times where things didn't go as planned, the job you wanted ends up turning you down. Its easy to feel let down but that's why not having an attachment to any outcomes of life is key to happiness. It sounds a little weird but it's true!
All of the self-help, spiritual books I've read, they all share the same message. When you lead your life with no expectation, whatever outcome comes to you, you will not feel disappointed. Think about it! Think of how many times our own expectations have let us down. I'm not saying because you weren't worthy of it but that's the universe reminding you of who wears the pants.
Now again as I mentioned in my Letting Go Of Control post part 1, we do have control over our thoughts and emotions! We can choose to feel mad when the bus doesn't arrive on time or have patience and wait for the next one to come.
Here I would like to share 4 tips on how you can be at ease and learn to trust the universe! Let's get started!
1. Live in the Present Moment!! -Easier said than done folks, our brains are programmed to always respond according to feelings from our past. We tend to dwell on the past and get so wrapped up that we forgot how many blessings are here right now. When you live in the present moment, you will learn to appreciate and accept what is here. Your focus will be more clearer, you can pay attention to your family, friends, work whatever it is with total awareness. My next tip will show you how to be fully present here and now.
2. Meditation- My first tip in letting go of control is learning to be present. To be in the present moment can be difficult when you first start out because our brains tend to always dwell on past experiences. But have no fear! Meditation will be your master. Meditating is difficult at first as well, especially if your attention span isn't a lot.
To start meditating, go to a room where there will be no outside distractions, light a candle if that helps, dim your lights and you can either lay down or sit Indian style on the floor. Close your eyes, and focus your attention on your breath. Inhale and exhale. Thoughts will come like a flock of birds but acknowledge but don't engage. Let them come and then release, remembering to focus all of your attention on your breath. When you focus on one particular thing during meditation, it allows the mind to be present.
This will not be easy for beginners, but I promise you through practice and patience, before you know it, you will be present for an hour and then so on! Start with 5 minutes a day and remember to be patient with yourself! Once you notice your mind and body become one by being present, push yourself for 10 minutes and so on.
3. Trusting in yourself- When we can learn to trust ourselves, actions, words, thoughts we surrender to the universe! Trusting you made the right decision. Remember our intuition is there to guide us. You know that gut feeling you get when you know something isn't right? Learn to listen and trust it!! Learning to trust the right values and morals that are implemented in us since childhood. By trusting and having faith, you will be able to let go of any attachments or outcomes of life.
4. Manifesting!- I mentioned this is in my part 1 post but this is so key when learning to let go!! Manifesting is basically you wishing upon a star and knowing deep in your heart it will come true! I'm sure you've seen Disney movies, there always wishing and their wishes are to be granted. When manifesting something great, tell the universe what it is you would like. Describe it in such great detail down to the tee!! Being grateful when manifesting plays a big role because when you ask for something but deep in your head you're uncertain or may not feel worthy, the universe will feel that.
Learning to be patient when manifesting is key as well. Being patient, its on the universes time, not yours. I learned this the hard way soo many times when I discovered the power of manifestation. I would wish for something, do all the right steps but if it wasn't on Kseniyas terms, I would lose hope and give up.
The universe felt that and then delayed it even more!! But learning to be patient during the process, that allows ties in with not expecting. Trust the universe has your back and it will every time! :) When you put all of these ingredients together, you will see some pretty amazing things coming your way faster than you can ever imagine!!
There are many other ways and along with the ones I have written will help you achieve the state of letting go of control. These particular tips that I have shared have helped me so much!! I am a lot less anxious about what will come, and how it's going to get here. I learn to trust that the universe is doing everything it can for me. I am grateful every day for the universe and how it has blessed me.
Letting go is strength but it will take you further than you think. When you learn to tune the ego out and put your trust into the universe or whatever high mighty you believe in, they will acknowledge your trust and serve you in many ways. Try out these tips! Go in with an open mind and see what magical things can happen for you when you learn to let go!
